university highlighters 2021-2022
In order to become a member of the University Highlighters, you must be proficient in both the school song and other tryout dances. You will be scored by objective judges on your performance and skill. You are not required to have any prior formal training but should show promise. Because we hold our members to a higher standard, you will also be required to get grades and character notes from each of your teachers.

In the Spring, we will be traveling to middle schools for showcases in order to recruit 8th grade students. We will also be holding at least two and potentially three tryout clinics where we will teach the tryout routines to prospective members.

For those members who would like to become a line officer, you will be required to be a current member, create a binder of your work, audition as expected, and perform a self-choreographed dance.

For those members who would like to become a social officer, you will be required to be at all clinics, create a binder, attend an interview, and, finally, be confirmed by current members of the University Highlighters.

Anyone who wishes to be a manager for the 2021-2022 dance team must fill out the registration and attend an interview with the coaches.
